Aerial firing creates panic in Central Kashmir’s Pakharpora town

Budgam: Army soldiers allegedly resorted to massive aerial firing in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district this morning.

Locals informed Kashmir News Trust that Government Forces Cordoned off Chararpora Pakharpora area of district during wee hours after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The operation was called after no contact with militants was established.

As the army vehicles passed through Pakharpora market, youth took to roads and pelted stones on them, while army responded with aerial firing.

“The army soldiers fired scores of bullets in air breaking the ere silence of the morning. Their action created panic in the area,” said a local.

An official said that Government Forces fired some tear smoke shell after they came under attack from local youth who pelted stones on them.
